AMAZING day with the wonderful Xavi, our tour guide. We arrived by train in Figueres and were wonderfully surprised with a visit and lunch at Dalis childhood home. Our hosts the Carbo family still live in the building and they have access to Dalí’s apartment and showed us all the spots where he painted. They then had us to their beautiful home for a delicious lunch and cava. They were the most welcoming, interesting and sincere family. It was the highlight of our trip. Xavi then took us to the Dali museum and finally we headed to Cadaques, one of the most beautiful places on the planet. It’s a gorgeous town on the Mediterranean where we visited Dalí’s adult home. Fascinating view into his unique sense of design. We ended with a quick drink on a beachfront restaurant in Cadaques. It’s a must see when in Barcelona!!! The tour was definitely the highlight of our trip and Xavi was the perfect guide!
