On this Girona Walking Tour we will walk through the streets of Força Vella, the walled enclosure of Girona, coinciding with the location of the Roman population. The Romans built it in the 1st century BC as a powerful fortress that ran along an almost triangular perimeter, a kind of Acropolis.
We will walk through the walls and towers of the upper part of the city, having greats views of the city from a high perspective. We will visit some of the most emblematic buildings of medieval architecture, such as the Cathedral, one of the most recognized Gothic works worldwide, the church of Sant Feliu, the oldest in the city, height above an old martyrium or early Christian church in honor of San Feliu and declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest.
Finally we will go to the Monastery of San Pedro de Galligants, of which only the church and the cloister remain visible, it is one of the most remarkable of Catalan Romanesque.
